Powerful questions to define mindset goals
The Simple Mind is a newsletter to help you reduce overthinking and boost self-confidence.
Happy Friday!
This week, I want to share with you some powerful questions to check in with yourself and help you figure out what you want next, mindset wise.
Let’s dive in!
Orianne
PS: As a reminder, your mindset is defined by your set of beliefs, behaviors, and ways of thinking.
Reading time: 2 min.
A bunch of questions for you
Answer them as you read, or copy paste them and take some time to really reflect (online or on a journal). If you go through all questions you’ll likely need between 45 minutes and 1 hour 30, depending how deep you go.
These questions can also be fun to ask with a trusted person to reflect together.
Audit where you’re at
Think about your mind now, and how it has evolved in the past 12 months.
On how you feel
How do you feel about yourself and your life right now?
How did you feel a year ago?
What is different?
On your relationship with yourself
What do you like about yourself?
What do you dislike, or feel ashamed of?
On your behaviour
What takes energy from you? What are you oh-so tired off?
What habits and behaviours have you put in place in the past year?
What habits and behaviours have you stopped?
On challenges
How do you currently approach setbacks and challenges?
What are times where you react instead of respond
On the change you want
What does not serve you anymore?
What beliefs or patterns do you believe can get in your own way?
Look into the future
We’re exploring where you want to be a year from now in terms of mindset.
Take a few breath, and try to picture yourself a year from now. Answer these questions, as if you were already this future version of yourself. We’re talking ideal, ideal future self. Be bold, dream big!
On how you feel
What’s on your mind, what’s/are your predominant feeling/s?
What do people feel around you?
On your relationship to yourself
How do you talk about yourself and your life in general?
What characteristics have you developed, and strengthened?
What are you proud of?
On your behavior and challenges
Bridge the gap between future you and now.
How does this future version of you approach challenges and life in general? (This is your mindset goal)
Who else approaches challenges/ life in that way?
How do they do it? What characteristics do they have? (these are ideas on what you can put in place)
On the change you want
What do you feel you need to cultivate or nurture to switch how you feel about yourself? (this is your plan)
What’s one action I can take today to nurture this mindset? (this is kicking it into motion)
Thank you for reading, happy exploring of your next mindset challenge!

A bit more about me: I am a mindset coach. I coach brilliant humans who perform very well but want to improve their relationship with themselves (their minds).
